So Shall we Buy Cornetto's and Dance with the Drunkards?

I've been meaning to put up some photos from the Surry hills festival, I went with my friend Cassilda, and had such a rad day, and yes, I did just use the word rad...

The Lemon-Lime Aide was so good

So much Lemon-Lime Aide
The buzz was crazy, it was really nice to see such a strong sense of community in the middle of the city

My socks ended up driving me crazy, slipping down to trip me up
Cassilda is incredible

Oh and heres a shot of my not so new blonde hair, soon to be rose coloured
And the Gozleme, Oh man the Gozleme
Then we bought Coconuts of Glory, mmmm
And hung out in the sun while the bands played, it was pretty great

Best day I'd had in a while, couldn't stop laughing, and while Cassilda bought a gorgeous peach ball gown I ended up going home with a pot of Lavender and Jade, something to do with my plan to turn my bedroom into a green house, I'll take photo's to prove it later, Happy Weekend

Baby it's Cold Outside

Today felt like winter so I busted out my navy duffle coat and scarf, this photo got me thinking of winter fashion and how some people remain so glamorous in the cold while everyone else shuffles about wondering when the weather lost it's sense of humour.

Weekend With the Vampires

I remember the first time I heard a Vampire Weekend song, around two years ago and instantly loved them, I remember running around trying to describe their sound to everyone in earshot. Now that they're all big and famous instead of disliking them as their popularity grows, I may even like them more. Oh Ezra such a great musician, and it doesn't hurt that Ezra is one of my favourite names for a boy

Close Shave

I've been telling my friends how much I want to shave my head or even just a side a la Alice Delal for months now, but seeing this photo yesterday just made me all the more sure about it, of course I know I wouldn't look like Aggy, but man, she sure makes it look good.

Bursting Bubbles

I was so excited to hear that Susie from style bubble was coming to Sydney for Fashion week, although now with the ash from an Icelandic volcano threatening to keep her in new york, fingers crossed she makes it

Just Kids

I know I've already mentioned it here, but I'm still reading Patti Smith's book, 'Just Kids', I haven't had much time for reading lately, but every spare minute I delve back into this world.

Days Like These

I'm kind of falling in love with this peachy colour at the moment, I keep seeing it everywhere, especially when paired with bright black. And I'm pretty partial to a mohair cardigan or two.

Friends Like These Don't Grow on Trees

A few weeks ago I spent the day with one of my best friends Cassilda, in late celebration of her birthday.
Cassilda is one of those incredible people that no matter what you're doing or where you are, it doesn't matter, I spend the entire time in tears from laughing too much!
We met when we were around six years old (I think.. It was a long time ago), and we both still marvel at the chances that we would grow up to have so much in common, and such similar taste in everything.

Cassilda's amazing bag
Lola ring, which flips up to reveal the gorgeous perfume

My camera's shady attempt to capture her incredible wolverine earings, these actually blew my mind!
(I took a thousand blurry shots before giving up, I think the other people in the cafe thought I just really liked her ears!)
Customary stop at pet shop to gaze at cute puppies, kittens and cockatiels
Ending the day with birthday flowers and cupcakes, I love spending time with Cassilda, it's like a breath of fresh air from the negativity and uncreative people I sometimes have to spend time with.
I hate seeing "best friends" who spend all their time together insulting each other, it makes me wonder how people got used to such an awful standard of friendship. When we hang out, Cassilda and I spend the entire time complimenting each other, building each other up so that when we leave and return to study, work and other friendship groups we still carry the encouragement that friendship is meant to instil. I'm not saying we're perfect, but just that I wish everyone could have a Cassilda in their lives.
