RIP Amy
The loss of Amy Winehouse is tragic beyond words. I loved her music, and was trained as a jazz singer when I was a teenager, often being told that I reminded people of her sound, which I always took as a compliment.
I could write about addiction and loss but in the end I hope that people think of music when they hear her name. Russell Brand wrote eloquently and profoundly about Amy here.

He Read Your Mind

I think this is one of my favourite photographs, I love everything thats going on and the way Johnny looks as if he's reading Iggy's thoughts, and how enthusiastic Kate is, a meeting of minds perhaps.

Now that they're all big and famous instead of disliking them as their popularity grows, I may even like them more. Oh Ezra such a great musician, and it doesn't hurt that Ezra is one of my favourite names for a boy

Just Kids
I know I've already mentioned it here, but I'm still reading Patti Smith's book, 'Just Kids', I haven't had much time for reading lately, but every spare minute I delve back into this world.

Tip Tap Tap on Your Writing Machine

I've spent this afternoon doing homework, and trying to come up with a business plan, and if I have to listen to my perilous fingers colliding with the keyboard for the next hour or however long it's going to take me to finish this, I might go a little crazy! I've been feeling really uninspired recently and this writers block is sucky.
If only I could just read my Patti Smith book all day,
then maybe her creative soul might mark mine in someway as to add to this sterile homework!
Heres hoping.
